Air Berlin to buy assets for two or three buyers, CEO says

(MENAFN) Air Berlin's Chief Executive told a newspaper that they are negotiating 10 parties interested to buy the insolvent carrier's assets, and he expected it will be divided among two or three buyers.

On Friday, talks started with interested parties, including mainly the German carrier Lufthansa, which was in the first queue for meetings.

However, Chief Executive Thomas Winkelmann said: "We have spoken with more than 10 interested parties, among them several airlines."

And he confirmed that the sale expected to be finalized by September.
