Trump fires chief strategist Bannon in latest upheaval

(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump had fired his chief strategist Steve Bannon, removing a far-right architect of his 2016 election victory and a driving force behind his nationalist and anti-globalization agenda, and the worry now is that he could be even more disrupting to the White House from outside than he was within.

After his firing, fears seemed warranted, as the conservative voices who viewed Bannon as one of their own howled in rage over Trump's decision to fire his chief strategist.

However, hours after firing, Bannon rejoined Breitbart as executive chairman, and he is expected to use it as a platform to blast those within the White House.

Trump's chief strategist had fought numerous battles with senior Trump aides and top Republicans in Congress over the administration's policy agenda.
