Italy-Saipem wins USD850mn new Kuwait refinery deal


(MENAFN) Italy-based Saipem, a pioneering oil and gas industry dealer has won a deal worth USD850mn for the engineering, procurement, construction of the feed pipelines of the New Refinery in Kuwait.

In addition, the deal has been given by the Kuwait Oil Co. (KOC), a subsidiary of the nation's national oil firm, the Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC).

Furthermore, the scope of work covers the building of a system of pipelines of different diameter, almost 450 km in length.

The project also involves the realization of a network for the transportation of the refined products to the storage areas present in the refinery of Mina Al Ahmadi.
