
Bahrain condemns Barcelona terrorist attack
MANAMA, 17th August, 2017 (WAM) -- Bahrain condemned the terrorist attack which took place in Barcelona when a van ploughed into a crowd, killing a number of innocent people and injuring others.
The Foreign Ministry expressed solidarity with the friendly Kingdom of Spain in confronting terrorism and preserving the security of its citizens and the residents living on its territories.
In a statement carried out by Bahrain News Agency, BNA, tonight, the ministry extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured who were wounded in the criminal attacked which targeted innocent people. It reiterated Bahrain's firm rejection of violence, terrorism and extremism and called for concerted international efforts to root out the heinous scourge that threatens global security
