New primary education standards to be implemented at 100 Ukrainian schools


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) New education standards will be implemented at 100 elementary schools in Ukraine from September 1, 2017.

Education and Science Minister Lilia Hrynevych stated this at the All-Ukrainian pedagogical conference on August 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"We are developing a new pilot standard for 100 schools from the beginning of the new academic year. And all first graders in 2018 will go to a new Ukrainian school," Hrynevych said.

According to her, the introduction of new education standards will stimulate learning process and improve teaching methods.

"The target of new standards and key principles are recognizing and promoting the development of talents of each child. It is important for us that the child can be at the center of educational process," the minister stressed.
