Samurdhi allowance reforms suspended following protests

The Samurdhi allowance reforms process has been suspended following recent protests in Parliament and outside.
The decision to suspend the process was taken by the Ministerial Committee appointed to look into Samurdhi allowances, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today. (Colombo Gazette)
