Morocco aims to launch modern desalination unit
(MENAFN) A senior government official revealed that Morocco is estimated to create a seawater desalination plant in the Casablanca-Settat area.
According to Charafate Afailal, Secretary of State for Water, the government is doing the latest feasibility examinations and the institutional set-up of the project.
"With increasing demand and insufficient local resources, the only recourse to reduce the deficit in industrial or agricultural drinking water is desalination of seawater," the official added.
