Indian, Argentinian in liquor trade nabbed


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: Ahmadi securitymen arrested two expatriates — an Indian and an Argentinian — for trafficking in locally manufactured liquor. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were on patrol duty in Fahaheel area when they noticed two individuals who had parked their cars in an open ground fleeing as soon as they noticed the police. Securitymen chased the two individuals and seized them. They confiscated 130 bottles of locally manufactured liquor from the cars.

Kuwaiti in armed thefts: A Kuwaiti citizen who was accused of committing about 20 armed robberies mostly in Abu Halifa area, was arrested, reports Al-Anba daily. Police had launched intensive investigations after receiving complaints from two Asian victims. According to a police source, the investigations led to the arrest of an unemployed citizen with criminal record in cases related to drug abuse. The citizen admitted to committing the crimes with a compatriot accomplice who is currently overseas.
