Qatar- Eid Charity spends QR1.14m for treatment of 129 patients
Sheikh Eid Bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Foundation (Eid Charity) has said it spent QR1.14m for treatment of 129 patients in Qatar between January and July this year. The charity with support from Qatari donors has covered all medical needs through Eid Social Center in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and in accordance to approved medical reports, it said yesterday in statement.
The charity said it is working closely with HMC's hospitals in particular with Heart Hospital, Al Rumaila Hospital, Al Khor, where Eid Social Center receives accredited reports from the hospitals about critical cases that need urgent treatments. The cases include elders and individuals injured because of accidents and some with disabilities. Officials from Eid Charity visited recently a number of patients in the hospitals to give moral support the patients and their families.
