Qatar- Schools celebrate day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour

Several Indian Schools marked the 71st Independence Day with colourful events with great fervour and gusto at their main campuses yesterday.

Birla Public School

Birla Public School celebrated the 71st Independence Day at their main campus in Abu Hamour. The Indian flag was hoisted by Vice-Chairman Gope Shahani in the presence of former chairman C V Rappai, Members of the school sub committees, Chindhu Anthony, Aman Shahani, Malvika Kumar, Nevil Lukose; life members, school staff, parents, teachers, and students. C V Rappai delivered the Independence Day address.

Doha Modern Indian School

DMIS security staff marched out in a procession and gave guard of honour to the Chief Guest and Director of Taleb Group of Schools, Jayashankar Pillai. He hoisted the National Flag in the presence of staff memebers and Academic Auditor Padmini V and Assistant Principal Jacob Mathew.

DPS-MIS

DPS-MIS celebrated the 71st Independence Day with full passion. The tricolour was unfurled at the lawns of the school by Hassan Chougule, President of DPS-MIS in the presence of members of the Executive Committee and other guests.MES Indian School

Noble International School

Noble International School celebrated the Independence day at the KG campus at Hilal. The programme was attended by Adv. Abdul Rahim Kunnummal, Vice-Chairman, Shoukath Ali, Finance Director, Faizal VP, Director of Administration of NIS. Students along with Vice-Principal Jayamon Joy, parents and teachers were present during the occasion. Chief Guest Kunnummal hoisted the national flag. Patriotic poems and songs were recited both by the teachers and students.

Shantiniketan Indian School

The 71st Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotism and spirit at SIS. K C Abdul Latheef, President of the school, hoisted the flag at its campus. One minute silence was also observed for the unfortunate victims of the Gorakhpur tragedy.Shihabudheen Pulath (Senior Vice-Principal), Abdul Salam T.B (Administrator), Staff Members and students attended the ceremony.
Ideal Indian School
The Independence Day was celebrated at IIS with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Principal, Syed Shoukath Ali hoisted the national flag amidst chanting of the National Anthem by the school choir. Speaking on the occasion, Ali called upon the students to contribute their bit to strengthen our country.
Assistant Headmaster Shaikh Shamim urged everyone to imbibe the right patriotic feelings and to be truthful and devoted to the cause of national integration and also to joined hands to lead out country to peace, prosperity and secularism.
