Jeddah, Dhu-Al-Qa'dah 22, 1438 H., August 14, 2017, SPA -- Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation today expressed its strong condemnation of the suicide attack on a restaurant in capital Ouagadougou of the Republic of Burkina Faso yesterday, Killing 18 and injuring scores of innocents.
In a statement, Secretary General of the OIC Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen said such heinous acts which target civilians absolutely contradict with the humanitarian values, confirming that his organization opposes all kinds of violent extremism and terrorism.
He underscored the importance of augmenting the international partnership to support the efforts being exerted by Burkina Faso and the Coastal countries to combat terrorism, offering condolence to the families of the victims, government and people of the Republic of Burkina Faso on the tragic human losses, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
