(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 15 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Tuesday sent cables to the Kuwaiti shooters to congratulate them on the victories they notched up at the Seventh Asian Shotgun Championship.
He congratulated Abdulrahman Al-Faihan on winning the gold medal of the men singles trap event and the Kuwaiti team, made up of Al-Faihan, Talal Al-Rashidi and Khaled Al-Mudhaf, on winning the gold medal.
He also congratulated Al-Faihan and Sarah Al-Hawal on winning the gold medal of the trap mixed team event.
Talal Al-Rashidi made yet another great achievement when he bagged the silver medal of the men single trap event.
The gold medal of the men's skeet team event went to the Kuwaiti team, made up of Mansour Al-Rashidi, Abdulaziz Al-Saad and Abdullah Al-Rashidi, who were also received cables of congratulations from Al-Ghanim.
These victories signal the ability of Kuwaiti youth to hoist their national flag high at continental and global sports events, the top lawmaker noted in his messages.
The championship was organized by the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) at the Target Shooting Club in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, between August 3 and 14. (end) nma.jk.gb
