Jordan- 5.12% voter turnout till 10:00 am, IEC


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug.15 (Petra) - Percentage of voter turnout in the local and municipal elections, during the first three hours throughout the country stood at 5.12 percent, according to the Independent Election Commission (IEC) figures.

The IEC announced that the highest voting percentage was registered in Mafraq Governorate with 11.3 %, while the lowest was recorded in the capital with 2.56 % .

The commission also said that voter turnout in Balqaa was 6.72 %, in Zarqa 2.76% , in Madaba 7.85% , in Irbid 6.56 %, in Jerash 10.01 % , in Ajloun 10.98 %, in Karak11.24 , in Tafilah 8.55% , in Maan 9.53 and 6.25 % was recorded in Aqaba.
