NOWSHERA, 15 August: Schools in Risalpur Cantt in Nowshera could not be opened today, 15 August, due to security concerns.
The administration of Nowshera Cantt has directed all the government and private schools, colleges and academies to keep the educational institutions shut owing to security concerns. The administration has also closed the gates of the Cantt and entry of common people in the area has been banned. Earlier, it was announced that all the educational institutions will reopen on 15 August after summer vacations.
Sources said the pilots of Turkey and Saudi Arabia, who participated in the air show in Islamabad on Monday, are also currently stationed in Risalpur Cantt due to which the security measures have been enhanced. An explosive-filled vehicle was also confiscated in front of the Cantt two days ago.
