Daewoo Shipbuilding reports growth in profits for Q2
(MENAFN) Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. said it posted a profit for the second straight quarter in Q2, due to cost-cutting measures and increased delivery of offshore facilities.
The shipbuilder said in a statement that it posted operating income of 665 billion won in the second quarter, widening from an operating income of 223 billion won three months earlier.
Also sales grew to 3.46 trillion won from 2.73 trillion won over the mentioned period.
However, during H1, Daewoo Shipbuilding posted a net profit of 1.49 trillion won and an operating income of 888 billion won.
