Rafah border crossing opened for pilgrims from Gaza


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Gaza, Aug. 14 (Petra) -- Egypt, early Monday, has opened the Rafah border crossing with Gaza for four days to allow Palestinian Muslims living in the coastal enclave to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform pilgrimage (Hajj) in Mecca .

According to Palestinian sources, the first group of pilgrims included 800 Gazans, out of 2,500 people scheduled to do the Hajj from the enclave this year.
