UAE- Hundreds of Emiratis to benefit from SEHA mobile clinics during August

ABU DHABI,13th August, 2017 (WAM) -- Up to 500 UAE nationals from the City of Abu Dhabi are set to benefit from the preventive medical checkups provided by the mobile clinics run by the Abu Dhabi health Services Company, SEHA, starting this week until the end of the month.

The mobile clinics will visit a number of districts registered at SEHA to perform the preventive checkups and make it easier for Emiratis to benefit from the services which could help them understand how their health is, therefore enabling them to improve their lifestyle, maintain their health and avoid diseases.

Majlis Al Mushrif will be the launching point starting today until the end of the week, with Monday and Wednesday dedicated to women. The mobile clinics will then move to Majlis Al Bateen then Al Zaab, spending one week in each.

Dr. Mubarak Hamad Al Darmaki, Executive Clinical Manager at the Ambulatory Healthcare Services, SEHA, said the company has launched the Majalis Visit Initiative in April 2016 as part of its keenness to maintain sustained channels of communications with the Abu Dhabi community and instill awareness about the services it is rendering to ensure healthy life and promote wellbeing.

The checkups include filling a questionnaire, undergoing a clinical check-up and other medical tests, which uncover the factors that lead to heart and vascular diseases. Among these tests are the blood pressure test, body mass indicator, blood sugar, cholesterol rate in blood, vitamin D, kidney functions and smoking state.
