Kuwait- KD 80 fine for illegal importers

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Director General of General Customs Administration Consultant Jamal Al-Jalawi has decided to impose a fine of KD 80 on importers who do not abide regulations related to proper storage and arrangement of goods, at the land border checkpoints.

His decision obliges importers to load and organize their commodities and goods in accordance with safety and security conditions to be followed when loading the goods in order to ensure their safety and to reduce the efforts and time required for transporting the goods.

Meanwhile, Director General of General Customs Administration Counselor Jamal Al-Jalawi Thursday recently received an official from the US Embassy in Kuwait and a delegation from the US Customs and Border Protection Department.
