Kuwait- Lebanese PM's visit underscores solid ties, says official
KUWAIT, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri's visit to Kuwait serves to affirm the camaraderie shared between both nations, Kuwait's deputy foreign minister said on Sunday.
Speaking to KUNA, Khaled Al-Jarallah said that Al-Hariri was warmly welcomed by the Kuwaiti leadership on his first visit to the country since assuming office.
On talks the Lebanese Prime Minister held with Kuwaiti officials, Al-Jarallah said they were productive and yielded a mutual desire to strengthen bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti official added that Al-Hariri articulated his gratitude for Kuwait's efforts to bring development and security to Lebanon.
He touched on a Kuwaiti complaint lodged with Lebanese authorities over evidence that point to militant group Hezbollah's involvement in an alleged "terror cell" known as Al-Abdali, saying it was done "bearing the best interest of both nations in mind." Al-Jarallah said that Kuwaiti officials have requested that Beirut keeps them informed on measures taken to fend off any actions and practices that undermine Kuwait's security and stability.
