Oman- 3 arrested for theft, assault and impersonating as police


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation at the Muscat Police Headquarters arrested three persons on charges of theft, assault and impersonation in two separate cases. In the first case, the accused took money from an Asian worker by impersonating as a police officer.

The accused asked the worker to furnish his ID and took money from him. The accused has admitted to the crimes upon investigation. In the second case, two persons were arrested for assaulting a man and snatching money from him.

The two accused dressed as police officers forced the victim out of his vehicle, assaulted him and took all the money he had and fled the scene. The accused have confessed to the crime. All three arrested have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
