(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The third BIZZ Awards ceremony will be held on November 15, 2017 at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, in Dubai. Two previous ceremonies were held earlier this year in Bucharest, Romania and Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
The BIZZ is one of the most important business excellence awards in the world. It is awarded to leading business people in each sector who stand out for their business excellence in their respective countries, a press release said.
Now in its 13th year, the awards are aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs), larger and more established enterprises.
Companies are judged against six key criteria: Their business leadership, management systems in place, the quality of products and services, business creativity and innovation, corporate social responsibility, and the company's achievements and awards.
This year, more than 100 companies from around the world will be recognised at the ceremony, most of them from the GCC states, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
The BIZZ Awards are given out by the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB), a leading international organisation founded over 12 years ago and based in Houston, US. WORLDCOB seeks to promote the generation of new business opportunities, social responsibility, and business excellence among its members.
Past recipients of the BIZZ Awards include companies such as First Gulf Bank (UAE), Union National Bank (UAE), Dubai Duty Free (UAE), Abu Dhabi University (UAE), Emirates National Oil Company Limited LLC (UAE), National Bank of Bahrain BSC (Bahrain), Doha Bank (Qatar), Metro Markets (Egypt), Baghdad Soft Drinks Company (Iraq), United Engineers and Contractors (Pakistan), and Saudi Telecom Company (Saudi Arabia). Other companies that have been honoured in the past are: Ankol (Poland), Russlavbank CJSC (Russia), ISD Portolan Ltd (Hungary), Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Ltd, Ethiopian Airlines, Niger Sahel Airlines, Swaziland Development & Savings Bank, and the Harare Institute of Technology (Zimbabwe).
In addition to the awards celebration, every BIZZ Awards ceremony offers networking opportunities with other outstanding companies from around the world. The gathering allows attendees to share experiences and exchange ideas while enjoying a luxurious evening in one of the world's most elegant and impressive settings.
