Qatar- QSE's main index lost 155.27 points last week

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) main index lost 155.27 points, or 1.65 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 9,242.82 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 26.61 percent to reach QR859.05m compared to QR1.17bn.
Trading volume decreased by 35.31 percent to reach 32.25 million shares, as against 49.86 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 37.25 percent, to reach 9,736 transactions as compared to 15,515 transactions.
Market cap fell by 1.61 percent to reach QR500.90bn as compared to QR509.08bn at the end of previous week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value last week with 32.96 percent of the total traded value. Consumer goods and services sector accounted for 17.97 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 16.90 percent and industries sector accounted for 15.46 percent.
Telecoms sector led traded volume last week with 43.57 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 20.61 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 16.09 percent and industries sector accounted for 10.27 percent.
Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 29.32 percent of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 21.00 percent. Consumer goods and services sector accounted for 17.89 percent and real estate sector accounted for 12.81 percent.
Out of the 44 listed companies, nine ended last week higher, while 35 fell.
Vodafone Qatar led trading value during last week accounting for 14.5 percent of the total trading value. QNB accounted for 13.42 percent and Widam Food Company accounted for 9.37 percent, reports QNA.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index dropped 64.32 points, or 0.69 percent, yesterday.
The volume of shares traded decreased to 6.51 million from 7.37 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR160.71m from QR189.09m on the previous day.
Out of the 44 companies, shares of 37 saw trading yesterday. From these, nine gained; 26 closed lower, while two remained unchanged.
Indices of all sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index lost 0.69 to 15,499.66 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 0.44 percent to 3,695.56 points and QSE All Share Index decreased 0.56 percent to 2,638.19 points.
