Egypt's Damietta port posts 15.5pct increase in jetties number


(MENAFN) The Damietta Port Authority issued a report that showed an increase in the number of jetties by 15.5 percent amid this year compared to June 2016.

Accordingly, the number of jetties on the platforms of Damietta port grew to 231 in the cited month of the year, compared to 200 in 2016.

Furthermore, the number of general cargo ships has increased amid the month by 40.5 percent, where they increased from 37 in June 2016 to 52 in June this year.

In addition, the report also showed an increase in the volume of traded cargo by 5.6 percent, compared to the same period of 2016.
