Qatar futsal squad announced for AFC Championship qualifiers

Doha: Qatar futsal team coach Ahmed Al Mannai announced a 24-player squad for the AFC Futsal Championship 2018 qualifiers which will be held in October.
The draw for the AFC Futsal Championship placed Qatar in Group B for the West Asia region alongside Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.
There are 29 teams in the qualifiers and they were divided according to geographic regions. The qualifiers will be held separately in four regions; Western Asia, Eastern Asia and ASEAN, as well as the joint qualifying for the Central Asia and Southern Asia regions.
The top four teams from the West, ASEAN, Central and South, the top three teams from East Asia, and the host nation, will make up the 16 teams who will reach the finals.
Iran were the champions of the previous edition of the in Uzbekistan last year after defeating the hosts 2-1 in the final.
