TAIZ, 8th August 2017 (WAM) - Yemen National Army units have liberated Madarat area, west of Taiz Governorate, from the Houthi and Saleh militias following a fierce battle.
Yemen News Agency (SABA) quoted a military source as saying that five of the coup militia soldiers were killed and that the army took complete control of Madarat.
The source added that Yemen National Army's artillery targeted positions in Tabbat Al Dhanin, Al Hangar and Mafraq Shar'ab and inflicted heavy losses upon the militias.
"The military operation will continue until all western areas leading to Mafraq Al Mocha are cleared," the source said.
