Saudi- Makkah Governor: No Politicization of Hajj

Makkah, Dhu-AlQa'dah 15, 1438, Aug 7, 2017, SPA -- Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee has affirmed the Kingdom's rejection of all calls aiming at politicizing and internationalizing Hajj, noting that Hajj is a worship and civilized behavior.
He pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leadership, government and people are keen to provide all potentials to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to perform their rituals with ease, calling on pilgrims to be ethical and civilized models for Muslims .
In response to a question on the State of Qatar's campaigns calling for the politicization and internationalization of Hajj and trying to reduce the role of the Kingdom in providing services to pilgrims, he said, "The answer is in the title of Haj campaign that Haj is a worship and civilized behavior, and there is no politicization of Hajj."
