Iran to boost economic ties with Indonesia


(MENAFN) Iranian Energy Minister had welcomed the Indonesian Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister in Tehran, and both parts had discussed expanding economic ties during their meeting.

The Iranian Minister said: "Indonesia"s exports to Iran are two times more than Iran"s exports to that country, while the ground is set to cover the existing balance of trade deficit."

Earlier, both countries had signed MOUs on electricity and energy and the Iranian part had expressed his readiness for development of technical and economic relations with Indonesia.

However, the Indonesian Minister said that his country can benefit from boosting economic ties with Iran, noting that Iran possess modern level of technology worldwide.
