Qatar- QSE index lost 164.99 points last week

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) benchmark index lost 164.99 points, or 1.73 percent, last week when the bourse closed at 9,398.09 points.
Trading value during last week increased by 6.26 percent to reach QR1.17bn compared to QR1.10bn.
Trading volume increased by 32.82 percent to reach 49.86 million shares, as against 37.53 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 1.78 percent, to reach 15,515 transactions as compared to 15,796 transactions.
Market cap fell by 1.58 percent to reach QR509.08bn as compared to QR517.28bn at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 28.86 percent of the total traded value. Telecoms sector accounted for 20.42 percent. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 15.97 percent and Industries sector accounted 15.04 percent.
Telecoms sector led traded volume this week with 46.52 percent of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.84 percent. Banking and Financial Services sector ranked third accounted for 16.95 percent and Industries sector accounted for 10.64 percent.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 30.7 percent of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 19.47 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 16.67 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 11.61 percent.
Out of the 44 listed companies 13 ended last week higher, while 31 fell.
Vodafone Qatar led trading value during the week accounting for 18.04 percent of the total trading value. Al Meera Consumer Goods accounted for 12.20 percent and QNB accounted for 10.05 percent, reports QNA.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index gained 37.50 points, or 0.40 percent, yesterday. The volume of shares traded increased to 7.95 million from 7.76 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR203.57m from QR246.27m on Wednesday.
