(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A Dubai expat, who had lost her dog four years ago, was recently reunited with him with the help of authorities and the power of social media.
According to a facebook post by 'k9 friends' - a shelter that rescues abandoned dogs in Dubai - Almen had lost her pet dog Rikky four years ago after he disappeared while being looked after the neighbours.
Earlier this week, the shelter posted a picture on facebook of a dog handed over to them by the Dubai Municipality- after which Almen immediately contacted the k9, hoping that it was her lost dog Rikky.
"Its microchip number matched with Rikky's, and an emotional reunion followed," Helen Bragger,K9 Friend's manager told ARN News.
The adorable dog was delighted to see his owner.
