(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Aug 1 (KUNA) -- GDP rose by 0.6 percent in both the euro area and in the EU during the second quarter of 2017, compared with the previous quarter, according to figures published by Eurostat, the EU's statistical office, Tuesday.
In the first quarter of 2017, GDP had grown by 0.5 percent in both zones.
Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP rose by 2.1 percent in the euro area and by 2.2 percent in the EU in the second quarter of 2017. (end) nk.gta
