Clooneys to help 3.000 Syrian refugee children to educate in Lebanon


(MENAFN) George and Amal Clooney will help 3.000 Syrian refugee children go to school this year in Lebanon, where the UN proclaimed that 200.000 children are not getting an education after the war in Syria.

Accordingly, the Clooney Foundation for Justice proclaimed that it has joined with Google and HP Inc. to support the UN children's agency UNICEF and the Lebanese Ministry of Education open second shift schools.

Lebanon has more than 1mn Syrian refugees, involving almost 500.000 children, while it is educating Syrian children in public schools amid a second shift system.

Additionally, an USD3.25mn donation from the Clooney Foundation, Google and HP will pay for transportation, school supplies, computers, content and others.
