DUBAI, 31st July, 2017 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has confirmed that 140 companies have agreed to participate in the Emiratisation Partners Club, which will begin offering its services in August.

Nasser Al Hameli, Under-Secretary for Emiratisation Affairs at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, said that 23 private sector companies were chosen for the "Platinum Membership" category, and 26 for the "Gold Membership", while 91 other companies were included in the "Silver Membership" category.

He explained that the club's membership is awarded to private sector companies involved in priority economic sectors in the job market, which are set by the government, and with their human resources department. The companies must also follow three criteria, including having a certain percentage of UAE nationals in the company, out of its total workforce, who work as labourers and fall under three skills categories that are specified by the Ministry. The company must also be involved in many types of business activities and have branches around the country, and must include a certain percentage of workers that fall under the three specified skills categories.

Al Hameli informed business owners about the necessity of providing the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation with data from the director of their human resources department or someone in a similar position, and to represent their companies as members of the club to complete the necessary steps for launching its services.

Al Hameli pointed out that the Emiratisation Partners Club will organise periodic meetings for its members, with the goal of exchanging experiences, practical expertise and the best practices, to attract qualified employees to take on jobs in the private sector, as well as discussing strategic plans to continually attract both male and female nationals to take on these jobs.

During the meeting, the group confirmed the roles and responsibilities of the club's members, including their effective participation in programmes and activities that aim to strengthen Emiratisation programmes, and adopt policies to encourage UAE nationals to join the private sector.
