Oman- Valuable goods worth more than RO70,000 stamped: MoCI


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The total quantity of gold, silver and platinum handicrafts stamped during the second quarter of 2017 amounted to more than 3,444kg with a value of more than RO70,000.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), represented by the Directorate General for Standards and Metrology plays a major role in the control of precious metals and precious stones to curb illegal practices and protect consumers and trader from frauds, in addition to encouraging the precious metals industry and preserving it as a legacy of the sultanate and eliminating customs evasion.
