Yemeni ambassador welcomes UAE's donation to curb cholera in Yemen

ABU DHABI, 29th July, 2017 (WAM) -- Fahad Saeed Al Menhali, Ambassador of Yemen to the UAE, welcomed the UAE's donation of US$10 million announced by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to the World Health Organisation to support its efforts in combatting cholera in Yemen.

"The financial assistance comes within the framework of the UAE's fraternal and supportive stance towards Yemen," the Yemeni Ambassador said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM.

He affirmed that the UAE continues to provide valuable assistance to support legitimacy and restore security and stability in Yemen.

"The legitimate government highly values the UAE's humanitarian initiatives to provide medical and food assistance to the Yemeni people as part of its efforts to alleviate suffering caused by the barbaric war waged by Houthi-Saleh militias against the Yemeni people," he added.
