Pakistan- PTI workers celebrate Nawaz Sharif's disqualification


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, July 28: Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Friday took to roads after the Supreme Court disqualified former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and sent his and his children cases to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for trial.

The workers chanted 'go Nawaz go' and pro-Imran Khan slogans and distributed sweets among themselves. They gave credit to their party chief for getting the prime minister disqualified.

Talking to media, PTI central leader Shah Mehmud Qureshi declared the apex court ruling a landmark judgment and said it was right time to get rid of terrorism and strengthen Pakistan.

Lauding Joint Investigation Team members, Pakistan People's Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said the judgment came as per his expectation, giving credit of the Nawaz Sharif's disqualification to PTI chief Imran Khan for taking the case to SC.

Similarly, member National Assembly Sheikh Rasheed on social media said that Pakistan was the sole winner. Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said the judgment disappointed her and said no corruption charges were proved against the former prime minister and his family.
