
Pakistan- Transgenders demand health, education policy
Speaking at a seminar organized under the aegis of Transaction, a body representing transgender from across the province, provincial president Farazan Jan said that a positive change would be brought in lives of the marginalized community if the government implement the proposed policy.
She said that K-P would become the first province to have taken steps for welfare of transgender and would be the first to introduce a policy for welfare of the transgender community.
Talking to Tribal News Network, Civil Society activist Taimur Kamal said that fund approved for the transgender community could not be released so far.
He said that this time a protection policy has been demanded for welfare of health and education of the community and urged the government to implement the policy.
