Germany to recall Porsche Cayenne models over emissions software


(MENAFN) German Transport Minister proclaimed a recall of Porsche Cayenne models tooled with 3 liter diesel engines after finding illegal emissions controlling software in the cars.

Furthermore, sports car maker Porsche AG is owned by VW, which in 2015 admitted to systematic manipulation of engine management software to cheat emissions test.

In addition, the carmaker proclaimed had discovered irregular engine management software amid an internal probe into emissions.

Accordingly, the producer will bear 100 percent of the costs, while there is no explanation why this software was in this vehicle.
