Starting with smoothies, she learned about health, adrenal fatigue, and eating organic food without refined sugars. The family adopted Naomi's lifestyle and now eats organic whole foods. It is our passion to bring our journey of healing, health and wholeness to the Redding community through a coffee shop with values we hold dear to our own lives.
Mimi Grace: Coffee/Tea/Clean Eats
Mimi Grace: Coffee/Tea/Clean Eats is a local Redding, CA business opening a shop in August2017 featuring specialty drinks and farm to table style eats from local sourceswhenever possible.
Mimi Grace started at the Redding Farmer's Market two years ago with specialty coffees and gluten free waffles. While creating community through good food and drink has always been in our vision; getting to know the local farming community expanded our vision to see how opening ashop could support and grow the local economy. By showcasing how delicious local ingredients are and sourcing from local artisans, Mimi Grace is not just a coffee shop, but a catalyst for local economy and other aspiring entrepreneurs.Having chosen a location and gotten permits from the city, we are now in the midst of completing renovations. During this process we are choosingto create a space that is done well and serveswith excellence. As the opening date approaches, we want to invite you to be a part of creating this space and making it possible.Redding is special in that it is the largest town in northern CA and is right off the I5 corridor. We consistently have a large number of visitors in our city from all over the world. However there seems to be a gap in the farm to table, healthy cafe options in our city. By contributing to the opening of Mimi Grace, you are helping to create a place that not only supports our local farmersbut also where you can enjoy healthy real food and tasty beverages.
What We Need & What You Get
We need equipment, final construction, and furniture:
We have (thankfully) gotten this far with this project without going into debt. We need approximately $25,000 more to get all our equipment, finish with some final construction costs, and our furniture.Our perks are very simple, a thank you and/or a gift certificate to the shop when we open up, and a private party event.The final funds are going towards mostly refrigeration, cooking/baking equipment, and our coffee equipment. The remaining amount will go towards some final construction costs (approximately $3,000), and getting some furniture so we can host the city of Redding well.
Risks & Challenges
Health and excellence is a growing value in our city. The risk would be that people don't see the value of investing in real, organic, local whole foods. We are greatly encouraged by the feedback we have received from our local community which fuels our hope and desire to open up shop and serve our city.
