Kuwait- KPC underlines commitment to corporate governance


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said on Wednesday that it strictly follows a corporate governance system and that the company's procedures and practices lie within that framework.

After a meeting of the company's board of directors, Sheikh Talal Al-Sabah, a spokesman for the oil sector, told the press that the session centered on KPC's business during the 2016-17 fiscal year.

He revealed that the company has replaced worn out electrical substations in Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery to boost power supply during emergencies.

The spokesman addressed a report over the frequency of gas emissions, pointing out that KPC has won numerous accolades for its commitment to environmental safety.

He added that the meeting also delved into the company's financial and administrative affairs. (end) mam.nam
