(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Some 2,000 citizens and residents formed the ‘Tamim Al Majd' icon during a special event at Al Sadd Sports Club yesterday evening. Each of them held a wooden piece of the portrait to collectively form the picture in a show of love and loyalty to Qatar and His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. The ‘human mural' event was an initiative of the ‘Qatari Voice' and organised by Qatar Foundation for Social Work in collaboration with Qatar Cultural Heritage Centre. A number of institutions, such as Qatar Players Association, Qatar Football Association, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Al Kass Sports Channel and Qatar Stars League participated in the event, in addition to a group of writers, filmmakers, social media activists, poets, famous Qatari athletes, artists and chief executives.
