Pakistan- Man dies of dengue in Peshawar


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 26 July: A man has died of dengue fever in Peshawar.

Media reports while quoting official documents said Abid, a resident of Tehkal Payan, has died of dengue fever. The reports said 41 people from Tehkal Payan have been infected by dengue so far who are under treatment in Khyber Teaching Hospital and other hospitals of the city.

The sources said a meeting headed by Peshawar deputy commissioner discussed the issue on Tuesday and decided to send the water samples from Tehkal Payan for laboratory tests.

Dengue is caused by mosquito bite in which the patient suffers from high fever, vomiting, headache and muscle pain.
