Kuwait- Municipality tears down encroachments on State property


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Branches of Kuwait Municipality in Capital, Hawally, and Jahra governorates launched several campaigns on infringements on state properties, resulting in demolition of 54 infringing structures including livestock pens, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Head of the Emergency Team in Capital Municipality Zaid Al-Enezi said the team launched a campaign on Jaber Al-Ahmad and Northwest Sulaibikhat areas, which succeeded in demolishing 40 infringing structures and issuance of 100 warnings.

He explained that a field plan to remove the infringing structures has been set based on a schedule. Warnings were issued to violating structure owners. The structures will be removed immediately following the end of the legal period, which is by July 30.

On his part, Head of Waste Removal Department in Hawally Municipality Ayed Al-Qahtani said the inspectors of the department launched a campaign targeting the seafront in Salmiya which resulted in removal of seven violating structures.

In addition, head of Emergency Team in Jahra Municipality Ali Al-Quwaidh revealed that the campaign launched by his team targeted violating structures along Salmi Road, which resulted in removal of seven livestock pens.
