Afghanistan- Reforms need time to be implemented: Abdullah


(MENAFN- Afghanistan Times) AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Chief Executive, Abdullah Abdullah said Monday that the national unity government was engaged in chasing insurgency and proper time was required to implement reforms.

Addressing the Council of Ministers meeting, CEO harshly criticized the various terrorist attacks carried out by militants against common people and termed it a huge crime against humanity, adding the terrorist have been engaged in destabilizing the security situation and promoting a foreign agenda in the country.

He pointed out the government has drawn a clear line between enemies and friends and said, 'I expect the people of Afghanistan to stand united against our common enemy.'

Moreover, Abdullah acknowledged the ground realities by saying as, the Afghan people have been noticed unsatisfied with the ongoing security situations and people are demanding required improvement to protect their lives and properties.

The CEO denounced the suicide attack happened in Kabul, saying the bombing was conducted by the enemy of Afghanistan.

Commenting into the killing of policemen as a result of US airstrike in Helmand province, Abdullah said a joint investigation into the unpleasant incident has been underway, adding NATO forces have already recognized their mistake. He said the investigation has been initiated to ascertain what triggered the raid.
