IMF reduces Britain growth forecast

(MENAFN) UK faced the biggest downgrade of economic growth predictions by the IMF for the globe"s rich countries in the recent year, prompting the finance ministry to renew its call for easy exit from the EU.

The country's economy looks ready to grow by 1.7 percent this year, down from a prediction made in April of 2 percent, while still higher than growth in France, Italy and Japan.

Moreover, the IMF in April raised its predictions for UK growth after the economy withstood the basic shock of the referendum decision in June last year.

Additionally, the economy is projected to have jumped only a bit of speed to 0.3 percent in the second quarter.
