When his car was traveling along Tuen Fu Road near Hing Ping Road, it was suddenly bumped by a car from behind. Ali initially thought that it was an accident and was about to get out. Then two Hong Kong and two South Asian men jumped out of their car with wooden rods and ordered Ali and his parents to get out.

Ali declined to get out and immediately locked his car doors to protect his parents.

The four men damaged the bonnet and windshield of Ali's car with their wooden sticks. Ali's right eye was injured by broken glass but he still managed to drive to Fu Tai Estate, where he called the police. He was then sent to hospital.

Ali told police he did not know the attackers or the reason that they attacked him, Sing Tao Daily reported.

However, police did not rule out that he was attacked in revenge and will investigate the victim's background. Police classed the case as criminal damage.
