15 abandoned vehicles removed


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Doha Municipality's Municipal Control Department, in co-operation with the Mechanical Equipment Department, has conducted a campaign to remove abandoned vehicles from the Bin Mahmoud and Central Market areas, over two consecutive days.Fifteen abandoned vehicles were removed during the campaign and the authorities concerned would continue with the campaign to cover all parts of Doha, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said in a statement.

The MME launched a training course on law enforcement in the field of public cleanliness, which would go on until August 27.

Some 30 employees from different municipalities are taking part in the course, which aims to introduce them to the mechanism of enforcing Law No. 8 for 1974 on Public Hygiene and its executive regulations, in addition to related laws.
