Saudi- Ministry of Culture and Information set up high committee to develop work of its television channels and radio stations

Riyadh, Shawwal 29, 1438, July 23, 2017, SPA -- The Ministry of Culture and Information formed a high committee for the development of channels and radio stations of the General Authority for Radio and Television, headed by Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al-Awad, as part of an integrated plan to develop the sectors of the Ministry of Culture and Information including General Authority for Radio and Television.
The development plan for all the TV channels and the radio stations of the Ministry is part of the Kingdom Vision 2030 program which aims to upgrade all the authorities in the Kingdom.
The Supreme Committee aims to prepare an integrated development plan in cooperation with local and international companies in the field of media and television to raise the level of Saudi media.
The committee will work to improve content, develop media facilities, train and qualify cadres, and attract Saudi talent in the media field.
The committee began taking practical measures that will be reflected on the infrastructure of studios and equipment, the development of programs and the qualification of human cadres, which will improve the performance of Saudi TV to achieve the aspirations of viewers and improve media performance to a competitive level for international television networks.
