Turkey's Erdogan to discuss Gulf row in Saudi Arabia ahead of Kuwait stop


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, July 23 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Erdogan arrived in Jeddah on Sunday, where he is expected to meet Saudi officials including King Salman bin Abdulaziz, ahead of a stop in Kuwait to discuss the ongoing Gulf dispute.

Earlier, at a press conference in Istanbul, he called for "cooperation and solidarity" between Islamic nations.

He also reiterated support of Kuwait's mediation efforts aimed at resolving the dispute between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt, on the one hand, and Qatar, on the other. (end) nsa.sd
