London, Shawwal 28, 1438, July 22, 2017, SPA -- West Ham signed Austria striker Marko Arnautovic from
Stoke City for a club record fee on Saturday, according to dpa.
The 28-year-old signed a five-year contract worth a reported 20 million pounds.
"It feels special to me to be a West Ham player," Arnautovic said.
"Everyone knows that West Ham is a big club, with big history and I'm happy to be a part of it now. I can't wait to get started." Joint-Chairman David Sulllivan said Arnautovic would be a great addition to West Ham this season.
"Alongside Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart we have brought in three players with vast Premier League experience this summer, and that was one of our key targets as we look ahead to the new season," he said.
"Marko will bring plenty of quality to our front line and I'm excited to see him in a claret and blue shirt." Meanwhile, the BBC reported on Saturday that West Ham goalkeeper Darren Rudolph has signed a five-year deal with Middlesbrough in a 5 million-pound move.
