Morocco- Video: Protesters in Al Hoceima Harass 2M TV Journalists


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – Two journalists from the state-owned TV channel 2M were surrounded and pushed by protesters while covering the July 20 demonstration in Al Hoceima.

A video filmed by Moroccan news outlet Le 360 shows a group of protesters surrounding and threatening a cameraman and a reporter. Some of the protesters attempt to seize the journalist's camera in order to prevent them from covering the demonstration.

July 20 witnessed a massive march in the city, during which clashes between police forces and protesters took on a large scale.

Al Hoceima authorities have stated that 72 members of security forces were injured during the July 20 march held in the city due to rock-throwing, and that 11 protesters were injured during the firing of tear gas by security forces.
